Tibetan Independence Day Anniversary

March 10 commemorates the uprising of the Tibetan people in 1959. The failed rebellion ultimately resulted in the Chinese government's violent crackdown on Tibetan independence movements, and the flight of the Dalai Lama into exile in India, where he remains today.  Print by Shepard Fairey based on a photograph by Don Farber.
