Cycling rocks and some cyclists climb rocks. Such was the case last weekend for the annual hill climb up the Mt. Washington(elevation 6,288 feet and "home of the world's worst weather") carriage road in New Hampshire. Hundreds of very fit (mostly male) cyclists pump up their hearts and calf muscles for the 7.5 - mile climb up, up, up. I ascended in a car (a feat unto itself) and was there as these strong riders reached the summit - some were smiling, some grimacing and yes, there were a few tears. Cycling rocks.
